ARCS works with AFIDEP based in Malawi under the lead of Professor Nyovani Madise, the Director of Research and Development Policy. Paul Kawale (Knowledge Translation Scientist) and Emma Heneine (Research Fellow) work alongside Prof. Madise.
WALIMU
Based in Uganda, Walimu grew from a simple observation; In low-income countries, many patients die of curable conditions because they are not identified and treated early enough. ARCS Co-Director, Dr. Shevin Jacob is the Medical Director at Walimu under the lead of Executive Director, Dr. Nathan Kenya-Mugisha
CERMEL
Based in Gabon, CERMEL are establishing a Centre of Sepsis Research Excellence, under the guidance of Professor Martin Grobusch and Dr Bayode Romeo Adegbite.
GLOBAL SEPSIS ALLIANCE
GSA is a non-profit charity working with ARCS. Niranjan (Tex) Kissoon is Vice President of GSA as well as being part of our External Scientific Advisory Panel.
AFRICAN SEPSIS ALLIANCE
Supported by the Global Sepsis Alliance, ASA is a non-profit organisation. ARCS works closely with Dr Emmanuel Nsutebu, Chair of the ASA.
INNOVATION STREAMS
Based in Uganda, IStreams was cofounded by Samuel Mugisha, who currently serves as the Director of Innovation.
MLW
MLW works closely with the Co-Director of ARCS, Dr. Jamie Rylance. They currently support Ph.D.’s, research fellows and post-docs.
WORLDWIDE RADIOLOGY
Co-Founded by Dr. Liz Joekes, Consultant Radiologist, WWR aims of creating a network of healthcare professionals interested in increasing equitable access to medical imaging worldwide.
PAN AFRICAN THORACIC SOCIETY
The Pan African Thoracic Society represents Lung Health in Africa. Professor Refiloe Masekela, Vice President is part of the ARCS External Scientific Advisory Panel.
CRISMA
The Clinical Research, Investigation and Systems Modelling of Acute Illness (CRISMA) Centre is an interdisciplinary reseach group focusing on clinical and translational research in critical illness. Professor Derek Angus, is part of the ARCS External Scientific Advisory Panel.

Kenya Medical Research Institute based in Kenya are a leading research centre aiming at improving human health and quality of life through research, capacity building, innovation and service delivery.
ICNARC
Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) are focused on people who are likely to become, currently are, or are recovering from being critically ill. Based in London, ARCS works with ICNARC under the lead of Professor Kathy Rowan (Director of Scientific & Strategic Development and Clinical Trials and Director of ICNARC)
