Professor Anne Katahoire
Medical and Social anthropologist, Makerere University
Anne Ruhweza Katahoire is a Professor of Behavioral Social Science at the Child Health and Development Centre, a multi disciplinary research Centre at Makerere University College of Health Sciences, School of Medicine.
She is a former Director of Child Health and Development Centre a position she held for over 10 years. She holds a PhD in Social and Medical Anthropology and a BA Social Science (Hons) in Psychology and Social Administration.
Over the past twenty five years she has been extensively engaged in research and evaluations in the areas of HIV/AIDS, children and adolescent health and women’s sexual and reproductive health. She has expertise in qualitative research.
